To create a spiritually uplifting, safe, and respectful environment for all participants, JKYog has established the following Code of Conduct. By participating in any JKYog event, you agree to uphold these principles.
1. Respect for All Participants
• Treat all individuals with kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of age, gender, background, or level of spiritual practice.
• Avoid disruptive behavior, harsh language, or personal criticism.
• Respect personal boundaries and space.
2. Upholding Spiritual Decorum
• Maintain silence or a meditative mindset during discourses, meditations, and bhajans.
• Avoid inappropriate expressions of humor or behavior during solemn or reflective sessions.
• Refrain from using phones, taking calls, or texting during sessions. Please keep devices on silent mode.
3. Dress and Conduct
• Please wear modest, appropriate attire in keeping with the spiritual nature of the event.
• Conduct yourself with decorum aligned with the values of humility, devotion, and seva (selfless service).
4. Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking
• JKYog events are strictly substance-free. The use of alcohol, recreational drugs, or tobacco is not permitted on the premises.
5. Harassment and Safety
• Harassment, intimidation, or any form of verbal or physical misconduct is not tolerated.
• If you experience or witness any concerning behavior, immediately notify a volunteer or event coordinator.
6. Children and Families
• Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times.
• Parents are responsible for ensuring their children are respectful of the event environment. Please step outside during meditations and discourses if the child is being disruptive.
7. Photography and Recording
• Photography or video/audio recording during sessions is not allowed unless specifically permitted by JKYog organizers.
• Please respect the privacy and comfort of others.
8. Participation and Privileges
• JKYog reserves the right to deny participation or remove any individual from an event at its discretion if behavior is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or in violation of this Code.
9. Liability and Legal Rights
• By attending, you agree to follow all guidelines and hold JKYog harmless in the case of any personal loss, injury, or grievance resulting from conduct violations.
